Employee relations. Be a steady, fair presence; fielding questions, resolving disputes, and handling sensitive matters with discretion and good judgment. Compliance & policy. Keep us current and compliant with employment regulations (DOL, FLSA, ACA, EEOC, FMLA), maintain the employee handbook, job descriptions, and procedure manuals, and own our personnel records and reporting. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred) 3+ years as an HR Manager or Generalist Experience running payroll for a multi‑state employer Working knowledge of labor law and the alphabet that comes with it; DOL, FLSA, ACA, EEOC, FMLA Hands‑on experience administering employee benefits and 401(k) plans A track record in hiring employees and contractors Leadership skills to set direction, engage people, and get results; including supervising a team and juggling concurrent projects Strong organization and a genuine eye for accuracy, especially with numbers and deadlines Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level Sound judgment, discretion, and the kind of integrity this role requires Comfort with Microsoft Office and general office technology You're organized, level‑headed, and motivated by doing things right.
